2020 Spring Beginning Robotics Academy

 WeDo STEM classes begin Jan. 29th and Jan. 30th  

EV3 Sessions begin Jan. 27th and Feb. 18th

WeDo STEM Classes (K – 2nd)

Students will learn the basics of building and programming using the WeDo STEM software and Lego bricks. This class meets one day a week for 6 weeks. This class is designed for students who are new to robotics.

Class Details: Wednesdays or Thursdays from 3:30 – 4:30pm

Wednesday Class Dates: Jan 29th, Feb 5th, Feb 12th, Feb 19th, Feb 26th, Mar 4th

Thursday Class Dates: Jan 30th, Feb 6th, Feb 13th, Feb 20th, Feb 27th, Mar 5th

Cost: $30/kid Maximum Number of Students: 22 (per class)

EV3 Robotics Classes (3rd – 7th Grade)

Students will learn the beginning basics of building and programming for a specific purpose using the EV3 Lego software and lego bricks. This class meets two days a week for three weeks. (Session 2 is adjusted for the holiday.) This is designed so that students can focus more on the relationship between building and programming. This class is designed for students who are new to EV3 robotics or want a basic refresher.

Class Details: Monday (Build) and Tuesdays (Programming) from 3:45 – 5pm

Session 1 Dates: Week 1: Jan 27th & 28th; Week 2: Feb 3rd & 4th; Week 3: Feb 10th & 11th

Session 2 Dates: Week 1: Feb 18th; Week 2: Feb 24th & 25th; Week 3: Mar 2nd & 3rd; Week 4: Mar 9th

Cost: $40/kid Maximum Number of Students: 22 (per session)

Important Information:

• Any cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled the week of Mar 9th-13th.
• All computer lab and school rules must be followed. Parents will be notified of any violations and if the behavior continues the student will be removed from the program without reimbursement.
• Attendance is crucial. The curriculums are designed to build on prior sessions, absences put students behind and leave other students without their partner.
