I graduated from Los Lunas High School in Los Lunas, New Mexico in 1985. I graduated from Cochise Community College in Doglas, AZ in 1988 with an Associates Degree as a Paralegal. I later retruned to college and graduated from West Texas A & M in 2010 with a degree in Education.

I have attended numerous professional development classes at Region 16 for reading, guided reading, language arts and math. I have most recently attended workshops for Empowering Writers and the new ELAR TEKS. I have also attened several Dyselxia conferences over the past 5-6 years.
I began teaching at Bushland Elementary in 2010. I have been teaching 2nd grade for 3 years and I taught 1st grade prior to moving to 2nd grade in 2016.
I previously worked at St. Steven’s United Methodist Church as the Director of Mother’s Day at the West Campus. The Mother’s Day Out program served children from infant to 5 years old.
I have lived in Bushland for 14 years. I have 3 children, 2 of which attend Bushland High School and the oldest attends college at Panhandle State University. My family is involved in the sport of rodeo, so we own numerous horses and some cattle.
