Elementary Music Teacher
I graduated from Banquete High School in South Texas. I have my Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from San Antonio College and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State). My certification is for EC-6 (Early Childhood to 6th grade).
This is my first year as the Music Teacher. I have grades Kinder through 4th Grade. We learn about music and musical terms, sing songs, play games and use our bodies to understand music. It’s going to be a great year!!
I have been a substitute teacher in Bushland ISD for a couple years. In March 2019, I started working in Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP).
I have two children at Bushland ISD-a Freshman and a First grader. My Freshman is involved in Football and Cross Country. My first grader is learning to read, loves school and being with his friends. We attend The Church at Bushland.
I enjoy reading and am a member of a Book Club and a Bunco group. I wake each morning at 5:00 am and work out with a great group of ladies. I am a self-taught sew-er (not sewer! ;)) and am learning embroidery too. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
