Elementary Music Teacher
I graduated from Banquete High School in South Texas. I have my Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from San Antonio College and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) in San Marcos, Texas. My certification is for EC-6 (Early Childhood to 6th grade).
In May of 2022 I completed the Texas STR Reading Academy.
In the summer of 2022, I attended the Region 16 Fine Arts Fest. I am very excited to introduce bucket drumming this year!
This is my fourth year as the Music Teacher at Bushland Elementary and Yearbook Adviser. I teach grades Kinder through Fourth. We learn about music and musical terms, sing songs, play games and use our bodies to understand music. It’s going to be a great year!!
I have experience as a substitute teacher in Bushland ISD. In March 2019, I started working in Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP). In August 2019, I moved to the Music Teacher and Yearbook Adviser position.
I enjoy reading and am a member of a Book Club and a Bunco group. I wake each morning at 5:00 am and work out with a great group of ladies. I am a self-taught sew-er (not sewer! ;)) and am learning embroidery too. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
This past summer, I enjoyed a great girls road trip to 10 states in the Northeast.
