About Me

Educational History:

I started my educational journey in Dallas, Texas. I graduated from North Mesquite High School many moons ago! I then was given a scholarship to rodeo for Western Texas College in Synder, Texas. I graduated with an Associate of Arts then moved on to Eastern New Mexico University for the next several years. I also was on the rodeo team at ENMU in Portales, New Mexico. I was a Psychology major for the first two years then decided that teaching kids was a blast, after working for the Roosevelt Co. Extension office. I graduated from Eastern with a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Humas Services. I went back (because I loved college) and got another degree in Education.

I moved to Amarillo and had to become accustomed to this crazy wind and weather! I worked for Amarillo College with the Tech Prep Grant then became a 3rd grade teacher at Will Rogers Elementary. I stayed home for eleven years to be with my kids. I have held almost every position on the PTO, so I got to know Bushland Elementary quite well. I was given the opportunity to be the computer lab teacher, which I loved! From there I have taught second, third, and now for the BEST job, I am the Einstein Lab and Gifted & Talented teacher.

Bushland Elementary is an amazing school and I am very fortunate to be able to teacher here. I have also held several positions on the Bushland Middle School PTO and the high school booster club. I was even crazy enough to be the middle school CHEER sponsor! You could say I am quite invested in BUSHLAND ISD!
